OneKey publishes the firmware, embeds an SE, and polishes the UX (touchscreen on Pro, polished app). It is one more hybrid in a market that has converged. The interest is the screen / price / code-openness ratio, more than a novel architecture.
As with any connected multi-coin device, clear signing and contract review (EVM) are the real daily issue. A nice screen helps. It does not replace reading.
Verifying attestation, buying from the manufacturer, and treating the companion app as an untrusted viewer remain the rules; OneKey is no exception.
Fits if
Multi-coin, open firmware, budget, readable screen.
Keep in mind
Optional Bluetooth. Less historical track record than Ledger / Trezor. Multi-coin = more code.
